Program Overview

(Work for 6 to 12 months) | Criteria to Apply

Employers who cannot find enough US workers to fill seasonal needs can file for a "Labor Certification" through the US Department of Labor. Upon filing, the employer must show seasonal need and also show an attempt to fill the positions through local advertising. This process cannot begin more than 120 days prior to the seasonal need.

Once the labor certification is approved, the employer then petitions for alien work visas through the US Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS). Upon approval, the employer can hire foreign labor for the time period designated by the USCIS.
Opportunities and Beyond completes all required filing and makes this process simple.

Coordination

Regulatory Filing

Opportunities and Beyond handles all of the regulatory filings and advertising as required by the H2B program for you. We work with one of the top immigration law firms in the country to ensure that we stay current with changing immigration policies, procedures and caps.

Recruiting

Opportunities and Beyond has partnerships with recruiters from across the globe who recruits a continuous pool of H2B eligible staff. We offer a more congruent process that sets up a best case scenario: providing the maximum group of potential temporary staff with the ability to move between programs based on changes as they occur in immigration policy and as H2B caps are hit. This provides you more flexibility for staffing throughout the entire year.

Staff Coordination

Flights

Opportunities and Beyond works with you and our international staff and recruiters to coordinate the arrival and departure dates and expectations based on your needs and program requirements. We outline specific arrival windows and work with you to ensure arrivals are optimized to your convenience.

Housing

The single most common reason for avoiding international staffing as a solution is housing. Opportunities and Beyond assists in locating affordable housing for participants where housing is not available through you.

On Going Support

Opportunities and Beyond keeps continual contact with both the employer and participants to ensure a great experience for both.

 Additional Program Information

Employment Opportunities

Most participants typically work in non-skilled service positions at resorts, hotels, restaurants, and amusement parks. H2B staff members agree to specific job descriptions that must be part of the Labor Certifications filed by the employer.  H2B staff members are not permitted to work in jobs outside of the description of their H2B approvals.

Eligibility

H2B staff are a broad base of individuals who are all looking to come to the US for work opportunities.  Candidates are typically older, non-students who either do not have consistent jobs or are employed in service positions that they can leave at will.  These staff members all sign a work agreement for a specific type of job description.

Program Duration

Length of program is determined by Labor Certifications as determined by the state and federal governments.  This length is determined by peaks in seasonal business and vary by industry and location.  Six to eight months is the typical H2B approval time frame.

Visa Requirements

Documentation necessary to apply for the H2B visa becomes available only after employers have gained the necessary Labor Certifications to fill a specific number of positions. Opportunities and Beyond works with each employer to make this processed straight forward.  Using employer provided hiring date. Opportunities and Beyond completes all applications and requirements.

Additional Requirements

H2B staff through Opportunities and Beyond are responsible for their own transportation and agree to accept the following:

          ~ Travel/Medical Insurance

~ Housing arrangements (that are agreed upon along with job offer).
